Yesterday, the girls had their 3 year appointment at the doctor. To be honest, I was REALLY hoping she would tell me that Isabella had an ear infection. Is that mean? Well...she has been an absolute TERROR every...EVERY...every...night for 3 weeks. She cries for 2 hours before finally falling asleep, tells us she is afraid of something, and is just miserable. I have tried EVERYTHING...taking away beloved toys, ignoring her, making a sticker chart and giving them rewards for good sleeping. Nothing seems to be working, so I was hoping it was a medical condition. But...no such luck. My sweet girls are as healthy as can be (and I am VERY grateful for that despite my little rant). They are growing like weeds and right where they should be in terms of all the other milestones. Here are the stats...

Weight: 32lbs 9 oz........63rd percentile
Height: 38.5 inches......75th percentile
Leah
Weight: 35lbs 3 oz......82nd percentile
Height: 39.75 inches...92nd percentile
As for the sleeping issue...a friend of mine suggested yesterday that we let the girls listen to a book on tape as they fall asleep to help keep Bella's mind off of whatever she is afraid of. I did it last night...and it was semi-successful. I still had to go in to settle Bella once...but it was not nearly as bad as usual and then she fell asleep right after that. So...we will continue to try this and hope that it will work....
Oh, and one more thing about the doctors appt. Just have to say how proud I am of my girlies...they got their flu shot and barely even cried :) They didn't have any vaccines other than that...but she said at 4 they will get FOUR plus the flu shot. Ugh...No fun!
