So, every year I "interview" the girls on their birthday. I just went back and read their two year old interview and it is crazy how much they have changed (both normal development things and in terms of how they have kind of switched roles in some ways). This year is the first year that they can actually form sentences, so I decided to ask them the questions and let them respond. After the first couple questions, I realized that I would need to supplement their answers a little. For example, we were sitting at the dinner table and two of the foods we were eating were fish and cucumbers. When I asked them what their favorite foods were those were the only two they could come up with! So, I will help them with their answers but will write exactly what they said in a different color.
LEAH GRACE
What is your favorite food? Fish, Cucumbers, chocolate eggs, pizza, ice cream, popcorn, tomatoes, broccoli, and cake! *Mommy note...they really are great eaters! They love veggies and the only food I found that Leah refuses to eat is eggs...she HATES them!
Who is your best friend? Isabella I also really like my friend Caleb, and I love my cousins a lot! They are so fun and I love hanging out with all of them!!
What is your favorite book? Bunny Book Any book that Ms. Sabrina gets from the library, any book about animals, "The Cat and the Hat," really, any book at all!!
What is your favorite thing about your sister? Nothing (ha ha...that was her real answer)
What do you like/dislike about being a twin? Like-I LOVE having a built in playmate. Isabella and I LOVE to play together. We don't fight too much and we like all the same stuff! It is really fun being a twin. The only thing I don't like is when Bella tries to take MY side in the car or on the couch when we drink milk. I don't know why she can't understand that it is MY side. Duh!
What is your favorite toy? Pony (they got a my little pony for their birthday), shopping carts, wearing my helmet, our dollhouse, the letters and vehicles on the refrigerator, cars, etc.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/way to spend time? I love all sports. I love to go on walks around the neighborhood, I love to swim, I like to go to the playground, I like to play with my toys, I really love everything. There isn't a lot I can't find fun in!!!
What is your bedtime? 8:30ish (well, I get put to bed around then, but I talk to my sister, or myself, until around 9:30)
What time do you usually wake up? 8
What is your favorite way to spend the day? Going to the pool, the playground, the mall, the petstore (with Ms Sabrina), Bounce U, this fall we have found out how much we LOVE pumpkin patches, I just love to be out and about! Oh, and I LOVE going to school!! Ms. Creegan my teacher is really nice! And I love gymnastics class!!
What is your favorite memory from last year? Going to Grandpa's house this summer with Bella and Mommy. I ask if we can go back almost every other day.
What do you want to accomplish this year? I want to get more proficient at swimming. I am pretty good for my age, but I still need to improve! I want to be able to site read a few words...I LOVE to read and I love to try to figure out what letter words start with. I really want to be able to write my name!! I love to ask Mommy to do it, but hopefully i will be able to do it alone soon!
What do you want to be when you grow up? Dancer An astronamer (she LOVES to look at the moon and stars)
ISABELLA NANCY
What is your favorite food? Fish, Cucumbers, eggs, popsicles, popcorn, cheese, mac and cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peas. Pretty much everything...I am a REALLY good eater!!
Who is your best friend? Leah, I also really like my friend Caleb, and I love my cousins a lot! They are so fun and I love hanging out with all of them!!
What is your favorite book? Birthday Song Book (no idea what this is...I think she made it up), any book from the library, any book about animals, "The Cat and the Hat," pretty much any book anyone will read to me! I also love to hear the bible stories that we bring home from church each week. I ask mommy to read them to me over and over!!
What is your favorite thing about your sister? Nothing (copying what her sister said since it made me laugh!)
What do you like/dislike about being a twin? I also really like having a best friend who lives in the same room as me...we have SO much fun together!! We can play all day together and not get sick of each other! We enjoy all the same things and that is really fun! The only thing I dislike is that sometimes Leah gets a little cranky and she takes it out on me. I also don't like having to share Mommy with someone else sometimes. I really have mommy-itis and I really don't like to share her!!!
What is your favorite toy? Flashlight (they just got a flashlight toy in the mail the day of the interview), little people airplane, any small figures (like little teeny dolls or animals), cars, playing with my dollhouse, any ball I can play catch with.
What is your favorite sport/hobby/way to spend time? Gymnastics class, school, dancing around the house, playing with my little friend Caleb, running around outside and picking flowers, berries, or anything else off of plants, going for walks around the neighborhood.

What is your favorite memory from last year? I REALLY loved going in an Airplane to Ecuador. I still talk about it a lot (I like to talk about how Leah got sick on the airplane on the way home). I loved seeing Abuelita, Abuelito, Daniel and I really had a fun time with Martha!!
What do you want to accomplish this year? I want to get a big girl bed eventually (not yet, I still really really like my crib), I want to swim all by myself (I am pretty close to doing that now), I don't really care about writing my name like Leah does...mommy is hoping I will change my mind on that one!
