First day of middle school

Last Friday, the girls experienced their first day of Middle School when they came to work with Mommy!  Heidi was going away for the weekend and we only had a half day at school, so I decided that instead of taking the day off, I would just take the girls with me.  We had SOOOO much fun (thanks mostly to my amazing co-workers who kept them busy all morning!).  They were spoiled to death!  They were read to by many different people, got candy, ice cream and cookies, got to play in the gym and on the blacktop all day, and were each even given money to play with in the vending machines.  They could not stop talking about the day and all my coworkers all weekend!  I am excited for take your child to work day when they can play with all the other twins of my coworkers!
I didn't get too many pictures, and I used my phone instead of the camera so they weren't too clear, but here are a few that I did get!

Speaking of school...I finally made a decision about pre-schools next year.  We are going to be sending the girls to the United Methodist Church in Damascus two days a week next year!  Yay! I had a chance to go and visit yesterday before I took the girls to school and I really liked it!  It just felt right :)  So, tomorrow I will put the deposit down and we will be all set for the fall.  Are my babies really ready to go to school?  Ok, I know it isn't really "school" but close enough!  Agggh!

  1. It looks like they had a great time! All that open space...the attention...and of course the candy and ice cream!
So glad you decided on on a pre-school! I think that's exactly what you have to do - find one that feels right and run with it! Good for you!

  2. What fun! Love seeing all these pics of the girls growing! Samantha goes to our local United Methodist Preschool (Glen Mar), and it has been such a wonderful experience. We've been so happy with it for the last two years that she's going to attend VBS there this summer, too! So happy that you found a school that feels like "home." :o) XOXO
