Sunday in Ecuador

Before I get into Sunday...I completely forgot one very important part about Saturday...our wake-up call!  Since we went to bed so late, we were still asleep at 8:45am when all the sudden I heard a loud noise and felt Cesar leap out of bed yelling "EARTHQUAKE"!  Before I even knew what was going on, Cesar was in the babies room making sure they were OK!  It wasn't a huge earthquake, but it was strong enough to knock a bunch of stuff off of the walls of the room we were in.  It was quite a first time welcome to Mom who had only been in the country for a few hours before it happened :)

Anyway, moving on to Sunday...we started the day by going into Cumbaya (the little town down the road) in search of my favorite ice cream.  Unfortunately, the place has changed and no longer sells the ice cream, so we ended up going to another place and getting sorbet and crepes.  Yum!

Later in the afternoon, all of Cesar's buddies from high school and their families came over for an early dinner.  I am sure it was fun for Cesar to see them all, and the girls had fun playing with their kids and Arriana.

Cesar's best friend Gustavo's son.  He is only 3 months older than the girls...he is HUGE!

Leah was impressing everyone with her soccer dribbling!  She is already a star :)

By the end of the night...the girls were beat, so Marta turned on some spanish cartoons for them to watch.
