The End...

So, as awesome as our trip to Ecuador was...the trip home and the following week were equally  NOT awesome!  Franklin, Nancy & Daniel were so kind to get up a the crack of dawn to get us to the airport by 6am.  We got there, got checked in (after Leah was randomly selected to have her bag searched so Mom had to go back downstairs for that...kind of a pain, but not a huge deal).  So we got on the plane, were still getting settled and my biggest fear of traveling happened...Leah threw up ALL OVER!  All over the seat, all over the floor, all over herself.  Lovely!!  Poor baby..she had no idea what was happening and just seemed so scared.  So, we changed the seat, put paper towels over the floor (gross) and changed her clothes.  She did OK for the rest of that flight and then, on descent...it happened again! This time...it was all over my shoes, my arm, her clothes (again!) and the seat.  So, we got to the airport, cleaned up as quick as we could, and ran off the plane to get through customs.  We got through (after some hassle with the stroller) and had to literally SPRINT to our next flight (completely across Houston airport).  We JUST made it to the airplane and got settled.  The rest of the trip was puke free (but I was READY in case it wasn't...I had the barf bag in my hand the ENTIRE flight..ha ha).

Didn't get many pics of the way home..this was on the bus on the way to the car at BWI.

Leah demonstrating what she had done on the plane :)

I was SO excited to get home and have life return to normal...ha ha ha. So..Friday went pretty well...I had to go to work (ugh) and then we had a normal night. Saturday morning around 3am I woke up to Bella crying. When I went into her room, her crib was covered in vomit! Yea! Fun stuff. So, we finally got cleaned up, went to bed, and woke up to Isabella throwing up about 15 minutes later all over the floor in the kitchen. About 5 min. later, I changed a very nasty diarrhea diaper from Leah! Uggh! That was pretty much how our day went...Isabella threw up a couple times, Leah's diapers were all nasty and we ended the day with Bella throwing up all over the floor of their bedroom as I was putting her down for the night.
Sunday was pretty normal...we just bummed around the house as both girls had diarrhea.  Sunday was day light savings day, so our schedule got thrown off once again.  So, Monday morning, the girls were up and ready to go at 4am...and I was SICK!  Uggh.  I guess it wasn't the water that got the girls sick...it was a virus of some sort that I apparently caught.  So...I had to call into work (which SUCKED because it was the 6th day of the marking period and I had only taught my kids ONCE).  But...luckily, Heidi was able to come over and spend the day with the girls and then wonderful Grandma came over to help me that night!  Thank goodness for Grandma (as always!).  I went to bed early and felt better on Tuesday and everything seemed to be getting better....
The girls slept ALL through the night on Tuesday night and I was up showering feeling excited that things seemed to be getting back to normal...when...at 5:30 the house phone rang.  The house phone NEVER rings except during the day when telemarketers called...and I was pretty sure that even the most annoying of telemarketers wouldn't be calling at 5:30am.  It was Heidi!  We had apparently given her the wonderful virus that we had been passing around!  I was in a panic.  I felt bad that we had gotten her sick AND I could NOT take the day off...so, I called Grandma at 5:45am.  Uggh.  I HATED doing that, but i had already called a few other people and no one could do it.  So...of course..she graciously came over to watch the girls (even though she was really supposed to be driving down to the beach).
AGGHHHHHH.........
There was more drama...like the next day I had parent conferences and Heidi was still sick at 7pm and I had NO idea what I was going to do about childcare...but, I am sick of writing this so I am SURE you are sick of reading it.
In the end, Cesar got home Thursday, and the girls slept ALL through the night (with no morning phone calls)!  Things were getting back to normal.  Yay!
