Saturday in Ecuador

Friday afternoon, we boarded the plane and headed for Ecuador!  The flights were pretty uneventful...a little longer than expected due to winds, but overall, the girls did pretty well.  Didn't sleep much at all, but with a little help from Dora the Explorer (thanks to my awesome friend Tricia who lent us her Ipad) hung in there through both flights.  We got into Quito around 1:15am (eastern time), so we basically put the girls down as soon as we got to the house.

Saturday morning, the sun was shining, it was warm, and we ate breakfast outside while "cooking" with all the wonderful toys abuelita had bought the girls!  She really went over and above preparing for the girls' arrival.  She set up a bedroom for them that was SO awesome.  They had cribs, really fun floor mats, toys, baby dolls, diapers, and so many other things.  We really felt at home and welcomed from the moment we got there!  It was perfect!

Soaking up the warm sun!

After breakfast, we took a walk up to the neighborhood park with Abuelita, Abuelito and Marta (the housekeeper with whom the girls absolutely fell in love with!).

We happened upon a birthday party and the girls had fun playing with the kids!

After the playground, we went home and took a nap and when we woke up, Cesar's Aunt, Uncle and Cousins were there (along with Arriana, Fernanda's beautiful 2 and half year old daughter).

Fernanda is 5 months pregnant.  You would never know by looking at her, she looks amazing!

The girls had a great time with Arianna...she lives in Florida so we don't get to see her often.  We are really hoping she gets to move to DC next year :)

Cooking.  The girls REALLY loved making "coffee" with this thing.

Cesar's cousin Alex was AWESOME with the girls.  They loved playing with her!!

I got to sit and relax for a few minutes since Alex was keeping the girls occupied :)

Of course...we still had to watch Dora once during the day.  After bathtime we hung out on the couch with G'ma to watch the show.
