These are some random shots from last week. I was so preoccupied with the surgery that I forgot to put these up. The first few are from our friend Priscila's house. The girls LOVED her little kitchen. We have one in our basement, and the girls love to play with it, but after seeing Priscila's in her kitchen, it made me think I should do that. It would definitely give the girls something to do (other than fuss and pull each other's hair) while I am making dinner!!

OK, so, one of my many fails thus far as a Mom is the fact that I have not been very diligent in making my kids use utensils to eat their food. I do give them forks and spoons, but I don't give them things they really MUST use the utensils for. They usually try to use them for about three seconds and then put them off to the side or throw them on the floor and start using their fingers. SO...I bought these little cups of applesauce with the though that it would force them to use the spoon (and in my crazy head I pictured them using it perfectly and not making any mess). So..here was my first try at giving them the cups. As you can see...it didn't go exactly as I had planned!
| "Who needs a spoon...I can just dip both hands in and lick!" |
Leah finally decides to pick up the spoon after the cup is just about empty.
She's very proud of herself! |
| "Wait...forget the hand AND the spoon, I can just drink this thing!" |
| Bella was a trooper and tried to use the spoon early on... |
| Then resorted straight to the drinking method |
| And, just like her sister, is very proud of herself! |
The girls still love to read more than just about anything. Usually, they INSIST that you read to them. But, thankfully, Leah is starting to be OK with "reading" by herself occasionally. This is one of her favorite books right now. She doesn't really like when you try to read the words to her...she just wants to look at the pictures and make animal noises (there are pictures of a farm in the book).

Brooke had on that that little pink plaid bubble outfit yesterday!
