This was one of the busiest and yet most fun and special weekends I have had in a very long time! Franklin (Abuelito) was here for a visit from Tuesday evening until Monday morning and we had such a super fun time having him here!!!! Starting Friday evening, I really don't think I sat still for more than a few seconds at a time! We started Friday night by going to dinner with Mom (Grandma, Leah) at Barley and Hops. Isabella was a little sick and it was late, so the girls were a bit cranky, but overall did OK. Saturday, Deanna and the kids came over and we went to the Urbana Spring Festival in our neighborhood. Franklin came with us, Cesar's company set up a booth there, and Gaby and two of the boys even met us there for a little while. It was chaotic but lots of fun...and the girls got their faces painted like cats, so that was a plus for them! Because Bella had been up sick Friday night, I forced the girls to take a long nap and then we woke up and went to Sammy's ice hockey game in Rockville. His game wasn't over until 7:30 or so and then we went to a diner in Rockville. The girls were SO great considering how late we had them out and eating dinner. We didn't get home and get them to bed until after 11!
Sunday morning we woke up and went to get donuts for Cesar for his birthday. Then we went to Gaby's for a "fish fry"and to celebrate Cesar's birthday. It was so fun to just sit around with family and chat! I had to leave Gaby's a little earlier than the rest of the gang so I could get to my 7:30 soccer game and then I came home and put the girls to bed! Cesar, Franklin and I stayed up way past my bedtime chatting (which was awesome) and I finally crawled into bed after midnight! WHEW! WHAT A WEEKEND! Tons of fun but tiring :)
