- I come downstairs for church in a dress. We are getting ready to walk out the door and I put on my red shoes to match my dress. Leah says, "mommy, those shoes make your outfit." I asked her to repeat it to make sure she actually said that...and yes, she did. No idea where she got that.
- Yesterday at the pool, the girls learned to plunge themselves underwater and shoot back up to take a breath. The did this OVER and OVER for 25 minutes straight before I forced them (kicking and screaming) to take a break. Then we did it again 5 min. later. They are CRAZY for the pool!!
- They are really obsessed with "names" right now. They are always asking what people's names are (especially Grandma...they ask at least 10 times a day what Grandma's name is). Yesterday, they re-named Heidi, "Heidi Paredes Henderson". They seem to think everyone has "Paredes" somewhere in their name. They also ask what random objects names are." Like "what's the tree's name? What's the clouds name? What's the street's name"? When we are in the car it is a game we play constantly. It has been a good way for me to sneak in a little spanish vocab...I just tell them all the "names" are the spanish words...so like, The tree's name is arbol. They have learned quite a few words like. Yay!
- Saying our goodnight prayers tonight as the girls were going to bed. They usually just repeat after me and then say AAAAMEN! Tonight...Leah wouldn't say Amen. She kept saying something I couldn't understand instead. So, I walked over to her crib and asked her to repeat what she was saying. "Thank God for Poooool Mommy, for Poool!"
- We had a nanny come interview the other day (not something I am willing to write a post on yet...I am still too sad to accept it!) and as she was leaving, Isabella said, "Hey..thanks so much for coming."
With the girls' vocabulary growing, they are becoming more and more entertaining! I love hearing what they will come up with next!! I keep forgetting to write the funny things down, so I am going to try to be more diligent about putting it on here!
HAHA! They are so clever! Those shoes make the outfit?! Are you kidding me?! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd they love the pool - you have a couple little fish for sure =). So fun!
Good luck with your nanny decision! We have a nanny and we LOVE her. Not that that makes your decision any easier, but we have been very pleased that we were able to go the nanny route. Good luck!
