Family Fun Day!

Yesterday was another fun Sunday!  We started off the day at church.  The girls were very excited to dress up in their pretty little dresses!  When we got home, we had a little snack time before we took a nap....

After Ledo's, we went came home and went on a family walk, hung out with some neighbors and their dog for a little while, and then Cesar's cousins Paulina and Andres came over!  We had a great time playing with Andres' dog and getting to catch up with the two of them!

(well..until she peed on the floor...then I remembered why we don't have one!).

Leah absolutely LOVED the puppy!  Jodi was so good about it too...Leah would tackle her and jump on her and she just kept playing!!

As usual, Isabella would rather play with the computer than anything (even a cute little puppy!).

These pictures are from Friday and Saturday.  Just a few that I liked.  As usual, we were camera happy at family dinner...

First thing Saturday  morning (this was about 7:15am..after we had already been outside for a little walk), Isabella picked up my bible and started reading :)

Saturday, we had some pictures done and then went out to dinner.  We didn't home until almost bed-time, but we still had time to sneak an an episode of Dora!  I captured the breakdown that we have EVERY day after Dora-time.  Generally, the girls get to watch it before dinner.  They watch for 20 min., we have "book" time and then eat dinner.  They really need that book time because we used to try to go straight from Dora to dinner but dinner wasn't much fun as they couldn't get their minds off of Dora.  Anyway...here is what happens every day when we turn off the TV...

Excited to see the end when Dora dances and sings the "we did it" song.

TV gets turned off and they both sink down in the couch...

They lay down and start whining a little...

They flip over like fish and start really fussing...

And finally we throw ourselves on the ground until Mommy says "OK, it's book time...come pick out a book..."

This same thing happens EVERY night.  I love it though because it is SO routine (and we all know how much I love routine).  Bella is always the first to snap out of it and run over and pick out a book.  We sit on the couch together and call Leah's name and tell her the name of the book we are reading.  She then runs over and climbs up onto the couch with us and within seconds, they have forgotten all about Dora and are so excited to be reading books!  Oh how I love these two sweet girls!!!
