Arrrgh....The Pirate Ship

This day (at the end of August) was a bittersweet one.  We got to go on a SUPER fun pirate ship!!  We went down to Annapolis, got dressed up like pirates, with face paint and all, and then got to go out on a pirate ship cruise while doing things like finding treasures in the water, attacking bad pirates with giant water guns, and all the while speaking like pirates.  The kids L-O-V-E-D it!  It was perfect.  The downside was that the reason we were out on this boat was because my friend Heather, her husband,  and her son (and the girls good friend) Ian were moving to Florida and this was their big goodbye to all their friends (can we say GENEROUS!).  What a super idea they had to have one last fiesta for their son before heading back to Florida for a great job opportunity for Heather's hubby Rob!  We are really missing having them here!  Ian was in the girls' preschool class and they lived right down the road in our neighborhood, so having them gone has been sad, but we are happy for them and the new adventures they have yet to come!
