I can't believe I haven't written a post about this yet! The last weekend in July, the girls and I ran in our first ever race together :) A friend of mine that I work with was in charge of a small 5k/1 mile family run in Walkersville. So, the girls and I signed up. To be completely honest, the girls were both sick and probably shouldn't have been out there running, but they were SO SO SO excited about it, that I couldn't keep them home! So, we woke up on Sunday morning and went to the park where the race was! The 5K was first, so I ran that and then when that was over, the three of us did the 1 mile fun run. The girls LOVED it! They were by far the youngest runners, and although they finished last, they got medals and were SO proud of their accomplishment! They keep asking when we can do our next race!!

| Let me preface this next comment by saying that this was a pretty small race. But, I got 3rd place overall and first place female. The girls were SO excited about this because I got a trophy and they got to carry it around all day! |
