| Playdate last weekend with Kai and Demi |

So, Sunday, we went to church and then a birthday party. The girls didn't nap...just played in their room during nap time, so when we went to costco around 5, they fell asleep in the car. I got them a little frozen yogurt when I was in costco, and Bella ate it while I drove home. She started coughing right after eating it. I thought it was just because of the yogurt. She kept coughing a little off and on all through dinner, but nothing that I really even noticed. Then, Cesar got her out of the bath around 7:15 and said she was wheezing a little. 10 minutes later, she was wheezing really bad and her stomach was going up and down like she was struggling to get air in. However, she was crazy hyper and still running around like a crazy woman! So, we called the doctor just to see what they thought...and they said we needed to take her to the ER. You would have thought Isabella had been told she was going to Disney world. She was SO excited to go (and Leah was equally as sad to stay home...crying hysterically that she didn't get to go). She got to keep her pjs on, bring her teddy bear, and she was PSYCHED. Her adventure started by getting to sit on leah's side in the car..apparently a very exciting thing to her. Then, she talked INCESSANTLY as we registered and waited for them to come get us. She kept talking about how we were at the "pj doctor" because everyone was in their PJs. She LOVED the pretty bracelet they gave her with her name on it (her ID bracelet), she got to ride in the elevator, she got to watch the Lion king, have alone time with mommy, and even eat a popsicle. She was SO SO SO happy. The nurse said she couldn't believe that she was in respiratory distress based on how much she was talking! She loved every second of it, including the breathing treatment and inhaler they gave her...until about 11:00pm when they made her take oral steriods (which are NASTY) and she cried hysterically and said she wanted to go home. We finally got out of there around 12:45 and as we were leaving, Isabella said, "Mommy, thanks so much for bringing me here, I had such a great time." It melted my heart!! She is so sweet! She really loved the alone time with me, which made me realize we need to do more one-on-one time with the girls. So, we are going to institute mommy/daddy date night where one girl goes with one parent on a date night once every two weeks. I think they will really enjoy the alone time with us!!

| I stayed home Monday to give Bella more breathing treatments, then Tuesday went back to school and spent the entire day trying not to throw-up as I was teaching. I had the stomach bug and had to stay home again on Wed. So, the girls got to watch a movie and eat popcorn while I laid on the couch and recovered!! |
