SPRING BREAK!! Last Day!

Because of the difficulty of the trip down, we decided we would drive home during the day.  The original plan was to leave around 1pm, but Dad checked out the weather and found that it was going to rain in the afternoon, so we woke up and worked from right after breakfast until 10 to get ready to go.  We were both in shock that we were actually ready to go right at our goal time (10).  We worked it!  After playing outside a bit and saying our goodbyes, we hopped in the van, stopped and filled up the gas tank, and got on our way.  The trip started off great!  All the kids fell asleep within 15 minutes and we were moving up the road.  Then we hit traffic...an 18 wheeler had gone off the road (VERY sad and scary) and traffic was stopped for miles.  That was just the beginning of a VERY difficult trip that lasted 15.5 hours after all was said and done.  Whew!  I was BEYOND glad to walk in our front door at 1:30am!  Uggh!  Here are some pics from the day...

Much needed rest-stop!  We found a motel parking lot that was somewhat empty to run around in.

So funny to see the girls in diapers...I put them in pull-ups just in case, but when we finall got home, the pull-ups were still completely dry!  Woo-Hoo!!
