Have I ever mentioned how much I hate potty training? Well...yea, if you didn't get the memo...I HATE it!! But, when your potty charts look like this, it's time to suck it up and put on the underwear!
So, Friday, we took the plunge! Heidi started the day off with underwear and the kids did pretty well. Isabella stayed in the same pair all day. Leah had a few accidents, but nothing major. They did GREAT! So, I come home from school, hear the good news about how the girls are doing and was so relieved...then, Heidi leaves and I put the girls on the potty right away to make sure they stay dry. Within 10 minutes, Bella peed in her underwear and Leah made a HUGE puddle on the floor. Five minutes later, Isabella pooped in her underwear. UMMMMM....WHAT? They were great all day? Why do my children hate me? Ha Ha! As Heidi put it, it was funny in a not-so-funny kind of way!
Today, I put them in underwear first thing in the morning and within minutes, Isabella peed all over my leg as I read her a book. Yay! What fun this was turning out to be! The rest of the morning was uneventful and both girls stayed dry! Whew...I was relieved. But, as you can imagine, that didn't last long. We had quite a few accidents throughout the afternoon, including Leah pooping all over the floor in my bedroom while I was in the shower. Uggh! I am ready to give up. Tomorrow we are going to church and Monday to Bounce U, so they WILL be wearing pull-ups for at least part of the day....and I am EXCITED! Who knew I would be so happy to put a diaper on my kids?!
