15 Months

We had our 15 month doctor's appointment today!! The girls are doing great. I was afraid they had ear infections because they have been fussy..crying a little at night..and tugging on their ears (same symptoms from their other ear infections). BUT...turns out it isn't an ear infection..it's MOLARS! The girls are cutting some teeth :) Such a relief that it isn't another infection!

Anyway...on to the stats...

LEAH
Weight: 21lbs 14oz. (25-50th percentile)
Height: 31.5 inches (75th percentile)
Head Circumference: 45.8cm (50th percentile)

ISABELLA
Weight: 20lbs 2oz. (10th percentile)
Height: 30.75 inches (50th percentile)
Head Circumference 46.3cm (50th percentile)

In Summary: Tall, Skinny babies with normal heads!!

Leah continues to out weigh her sister and has increased her lead by a few ounces. Might be the fact that almost every morning, she drinks her milk and 1/2 of Isabellas :)

At 15 months the girls continue to amaze me. Since they were about 9 months I have said "this is the BEST age." And I mean it every time. They just keep getting more and more fun.

A few random notes about the girlies at 15 months:

They are saying about 5 words. Mama, Dada, Ball, Down, and Bye bye (with a wave every time!). I wish they were talking a little more but the doctor said they should be between 3-6 words at this age, so they are doing fine.

They are using sign language very well. They use the sign for "more" all the time! It is very cute. They will patiently stand in front of the pantry and do the sign when they want a snack. The only problem with this is that I feel bad not giving them a snack when they do it, but they are learning to be major snackers and not great meal eaters. They do eat their meals, but they also want to snack A LOT! They also sign when they are "all done" and when they want "down".

They LOVE to imitate everything. They watch me dry and straighten my hair every morning, so now they love to take my brush and "brush" their hair and mine. Isabella also likes to take the straightener when it isn't on and pretend she is straightening her hair.

They still love to dance. They really get into it now. Leah loves to do the "twist." She twists her whole body around so much that she often falls over :)

We started fitness classes with them two weeks ago. It isn't great because there are kids from 1-4 in the class and the girls are by far the youngest, but they have learned some cut things. They love to run across the room and pound on the wall (something they do in the class). They also like to pound on the floor. All these things sound a little weird out of the context of the class :)

They just started really bullying each other. Not all the time, but they will push each other out of the way, bite each other, pull hair, etc. The other day Isabella was sitting in front of the sink and Leah grabbed her shirt, pulled her out of the way, and sat in the same seat (granted, there would have been plenty of room for them to sit next to each other, but I guess she really wanted that seat!).

Other times, they are very sweet and loving together. They will sit together and play with the same toy now. This is something they just started doing recently.

I am sure there is a lot more, but that is pretty much all I can think of right now! Overall, they are nothing but a joy for their mommy and daddy!!
