Crazy Leah & the Stairs

Today, I was at the grocery and Cesar was home with the girls. Isabella was still not feeling well, so she was sleeping on her Daddy's chest. Leah meanwhile was happily playing on the floor in the family room. Then she ventured off into the kitchen and then the living room. This is not unusual..the girls go back and forth between rooms all the time. The way our family room is set up, you can't see the living room from the couch in the family room, but Cesar could hear Leah playing and figured she was OK. All the sudden, he realized he hadn't heard her in a while. So, he got up and walked into the living room, figuring that she had gone into the bathroom to play (another normal occurrence). He looked all over the kitchen, living room, and bathroom and couldn't find her anywhere. Then...he looked over and noticed the gate on the stairs was open. He called her name and heard her making noises UPSTAIRS. She had gone all the way up the stairs and into her room to play! Whoops!! Good thing we have been practicing the stairs recently! Glad we learned our lesson the easy way and didn't have to make an emergency trip to the hospital!!
